Introduction

The DANish ReAnalysis (DANRA) is a state-of-the-art reanalysis system providing information about weather related variabilites and climate change.

It is a project within the National Center for Climate Reseach (NCKF) at the Danish Meteorological Institute.

The goal is to create a 70-year atmospheric reanalysis for Danish area with the Harmonie-2.5 km Numericical Weather Prediction model. A near term goal is to have a 30+ year reanalysis for 1990-2020 by the end of 2023.

Domain

The domain of DANRA is shown below. DANRA is a high-resolution regional reanalysis covering a large part of north-western Europe centralised around Denmark.
